This Notice is issued by FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corporation, with regard to a voluntary recall of the go-kart models listed above.
FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corporation is conducting a voluntary recall of the models referenced above that incorporate ball joints and retaining rings in the front suspension.
FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corporation has identified a potential problem of the ball joint separating from the front A-Arms or breaking away from the front spindles.
In order to prevent such occurrences, FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corporation is replacing the current ball joints and retaining rings. We have determined that some of the ball joints used in the above mentioned Go-Karts were made of the wrong material. The replacement ball joints are made of the correct material and the retaining ring used is stronger.
Ball Joints replaced on karts, or manufactured on karts, since April 15, 2005 already have the corrected ball joints and retaining rings and are not effected by this recall.
As a retailer of FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corporation, you are hereby requested to immediately notify all purchasers of any of the models listed above. Your notification to purchasers should include but not be limited to the following:
1. Notification of the recall and the reason for the recall;
2. Notification that the purchaser should discontinue use of the go-kart.
3. Notification that the purchaser should contact FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corporation at our toll free number 1-800-683-0072 to locate the closest servicing center. The customer should then bring the go kart to the servicing center for parts replacement;
4. Notification that the purchaser will not be charged for the replacement parts or service by you or the service center;
5. Notification to purchasers that any inquiries regarding the recall should be directed to our toll free number 1-800-683-0072 or our website yerf-dog.com
